Moderating Your Community

Community is where your members talk to each other. They post, comment and react on your site; you moderate that feed from here.

There are two tabs: Posts and Leaderboard.

The feed

Every post your members write appears in Posts, newest first, with its comment count. Open a post to read the whole thread.

You have three things you can do with a post:

• Pin it, so it sits at the top of the feed for everyone. Use this for the announcement or the thread you want people to see first.
• Unpin it when it has had its moment.
• Delete it if it breaks your rules.

Deleting is permanent, and it takes the post's comments with it — along with the points those earned. You cannot undo it, so it is worth reading the thread before you remove it.

You can delete an individual comment without touching the post it sits under.

The leaderboard

Members earn points by posting, commenting and getting likes, and they rise through levels as they go. The Leaderboard tab ranks them.

This is useful for two things: seeing who is carrying your community, and noticing when it has gone quiet. A leaderboard that has not moved in a fortnight is telling you something.

Where members do the posting

Members post on your website, not in this dashboard. What you have here is the moderation view — you read, pin and remove, but the conversation itself belongs to them.

Who can take part

Community is open to members whose access includes it. Access that unlocks a Course or Coaching includes Community as well, so a member who bought either of those is already in.
