Editing Sections
Your website is organised into sections — for example Homepage, Menu, or About. Each section contains fields your developer set up for that part of your site.
Choosing a page
If your site has more than one page, a page selector appears at the top of the editor. Pick a page to see just the sections that belong to it — for example, choose Menu to edit your menu, or Home for your homepage. Your pages are set up for you automatically, so they're ready to edit.
Opening a section
Click a section name in the left side menu. Your current content loads in the editor.
Field types
- Text — short text like a headline or phone number
- Rich text — formatted content with bold, italic, lists, and links
- Image — upload or replace a photo
- Toggle — turn a feature on or off
- Repeater — a list of items (e.g. menu items) you can add, remove, and reorder
Live preview
While you edit, a live preview sits alongside your content so you can see how your changes look without leaving the editor. There are three view options:
- Normal — the preview fits the space beside your content, sized for comfortable reading
- Zoomed-out — the full desktop layout scaled down, useful for checking the overall page feel
- Mobile — shows how the page looks on a phone
When you switch to a different page using the page selector, the preview updates to show that page. If you need more room to edit, collapse the preview — click the tab on the right edge of the editor to hide or reopen it. There is also an Open live site link in the preview bar to view your live site in a new tab.
Fields in more than one language
If your site is set up to support multiple languages, each field shows all its language versions together in one block. Two languages appear side by side. If you have three or more languages, the extras are tucked behind a +N languages button — click it to expand and edit them.
Auto-save
Changes save as a draft automatically. The editor header shows Up to date when everything is saved, and Unsaved changes when there are edits still to save.
