Auto-Reply

When someone sends a message through your contact form, you can have Helm reply to them straight away with a branded message — so they know it landed while you're busy running your business.

Turning it on

Auto-reply lives in the Forms & Email area of your dashboard, under the Auto-reply tab. It's off by default, so nothing sends until you switch it on.

Choosing a design

Pick from six ready-made designs — Clean & minimal, Bold & branded, Warm & friendly, Formal & corporate, Message receipt, and Editorial statement. Every design automatically picks up your logo, your business name, and your brand colour, so whichever one you choose already looks like you. You can also set your brand colour directly if you want to fine-tune it.

Writing the reply

You control three things: the subject line, the heading, and the message itself. As you type, you can drop in shortcuts that fill themselves in automatically:

  • Their first name
  • Their full name
  • Your business name
  • What they wrote in their message

If one of these isn't available for a particular message, it's simply left blank rather than showing anything broken.

While you write, a live preview on the screen shows exactly what the finished email will look like.

Where replies go

If the person you emailed writes back, their reply goes straight to your own inbox — not to Helm. Every auto-reply also carries a small "Powered by Helm" note at the bottom.
