Connecting a Domain You Own

If you already own a domain (for example from GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Squarespace), you can point it at your Helm site in two quick steps.

Step 1 — Enter your domain

Go to Domain in your dashboard and type the domain you want to use (e.g. yourbusiness.com). We'll show you two nameservers to add at your domain registrar.

Step 2 — Update your nameservers

Log in to wherever you bought your domain, find the nameserver settings, and replace the existing nameservers with the two we gave you. Save your changes.

We handle the rest

Once your nameservers point to us, Helm automatically sets up your security certificate (HTTPS) and DNS, and connects your site and dashboard to your domain. This usually completes within minutes, though nameserver changes can occasionally take a few hours to take effect worldwide.

If anything looks stuck, you can retry from the Domain page, or message your developer.
