Logging In

How you first get into your dashboard depends on how your account was set up.

If a developer set you up

If a developer built your website and created your account for you, they'll have sent you a welcome email with your login link and a temporary password. Visit the link, enter your email and that password, and you're in. You'll be asked to set a password of your own during the short setup that follows.

If you signed up yourself

If you signed up for Helm yourself, you chose your own password and verified your email with a 6-digit code as part of signing up. After that, you're taken straight into your dashboard — no separate login link needed the first time. Next time, just visit your dashboard address and sign in with your email and password.

If you can't log in

Check your spam folder for the welcome email containing your login link. If you've forgotten your password, use Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen. It emails you a reset link that lasts an hour, and you choose your new password from there — there is no need to ask anyone.

Two-factor authentication

If you've turned on two-factor authentication, you'll be prompted for a 6-digit code after your password. Open your authenticator app and enter the code shown for your account.

Session length

For your security, you'll be asked to sign in again from time to time. If you've been away for a while, just log back in with your email and password.
