Two-Factor Authentication

2FA adds an extra security layer — you need both your password and a one-time code to log in.

Setting up 2FA

  1. Open Security in Settings and click Enable 2FA.
  2. Open an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password).
  3. Scan the QR code on screen.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm setup.

Logging in with 2FA

After your password, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. Codes refresh every 30 seconds.

Disabling 2FA

Open Security in Settings and click Disable 2FA. You'll need your current password and a valid code.

Lost your authenticator app

If you still have a valid code, you can turn 2FA off under Security in Settings and set it up again. If you can't generate a code at all, contact whoever set up your account (or the Helm team at [email protected]) — they can reset two-factor authentication so you can sign in and re-enrol.
